Palmaquaria (ver. 1)
Horizontal Collagraph Triptych using nature and discarded objects in natural colors. The recognizable nice nature objects are used throughout the surface, yet on the lower right-hand section, the emphasis is on incorporating more dark, silvery, "tinny" man-made, thrown away objects. The nature elements on the top and bottom are used to imply a flowing motion - almost "wind-like" or "water-like." The tumbling and bent placement enhances the overall movement, which I intend to convey a sense of underwater swaying of objects. The earthen palette of warm tones in colors used suggest the colors of a natural landscape.
